WHY JOIN THE HACSG?

Among the more practical advantages of HACSG membership is that, perhaps for the first time since you discovered you had a problem, you will realize you are not alone, and that your child's difficult and disruptive and oftentimes exhausting behaviour is not your fault! The feeling that everyone - your neighbours, teachers and doctors - blame you for your child's condition will vanish.

Although the HACSG practices the strictest confidentiality, it can, with the consent of both sides, put you in touch with other parents in your vicinity who have the same problem, thus enabling you to share your experiences and find a solution together. If your child is having difficulties at school you may well have to deal with the authorities and will need practical and moral support in your case.
